I hauled recycling to the curb for 8 years before I finally started composting in March
I used to just toss all my food scraps in the trash and feel a little bad about it. Back in March my neighbor in Boise showed me her setup, just a $30 bin and a bucket under the sink, and I figured why not. Now I keep a little container on the counter and dump it in back every couple days, and my trash bag lasts way longer. I still forget and throw apple cores in the regular bin sometimes, so I'm not perfect here. Does anyone have a cheap way to keep the bin from getting gross in the summer heat?
