Hit 500 miles on my bike commute this year and I almost missed it
I started biking to work back in March after my car died and I couldn't afford a new one right away. I live in Portland and my office is about 4 miles away, so I figured it was doable. Checked my tracker app last night and I'm at 503 miles for the year. That's roughly 120 gallons of gas I didn't burn, which at $3.50 a gallon is like $420 back in my pocket. I know 500 miles isn't a ton compared to real cyclists but for a dude who hadn't ridden since middle school it feels huge. Anyone else track their car free miles? Curious what numbers you're hitting.
