Update: my tarp and dehumidifier setup took six weekends, not one
Everyone told me to skip the vapor barrier and just toss a cover over my 68 Impala in the garage, but I fought moisture for six weekends straight before it clicked, partly because my concrete floor was wicking up water from a downspout that drained right against the slab. I ended up laying 6 mil poly and two bags of desiccant before the humidity gauge in the garage finally held steady at 45 percent. Anyone else find that sealing the floor mattered way more than anything you did up top?
