TIL my buddy pays $145 a month to store his Chevelle in a shared garage in Phoenix and there's no climate control
I found that out on a parts run last Saturday and now I'm wondering if his paint is gonna be toast after a couple summers, so does anyone here run a dehumidifier in a space like that or is it a lost cause?
Honestly I wouldn't stress too much about Phoenix, yeah it gets hot but it's dry as hell there so rust isn't really the killer people think it is. The sun and heat are way rougher on paint and interior than humidity ever will be, and a dehumidifier won't do a thing about that. If the car's just sitting in a shared garage with no AC, the real worry is dust and people bumping it, not moisture.
