TIL my 'bargain' car cover let moisture pool under it
Spent $60 on a cheapo cover off Amazon last year and just pulled it off to find mildew spots on the hood of my '67 Mustang. Anyone know a decent breathable cover under $150?

Bought a "waterproof" one from a local auto parts store for my daily driver... biggest mistake I ever made. Took it off after a week and there was condensation all over the paint like the thing was sweating. Now I just use an old bedsheet on the windshield when I know frost is coming, keeps the glass clear without trapping moisture underneath. You'd think companies would test this stuff before selling it... but I guess plastic tarps are cheaper to make than actual breathable fabric. Still, for a classic like your Mustang, I'd rather spend the extra cash than deal with rust spots later on.

Yo dude, my buddy Larry tried one of those waterproof covers on his old F-150 and ended up with mold spots all over the hood. He was so mad he just threw it in the trash and went back to a tarp from the hardware store. Ever had something like that happen to you?
