That old mechanic in Dayton who caught me using a car cover wrong
Stopped by a shop near Dayton, Ohio to grab some oil for my '72 Chevelle, and this older guy, Mike, walks over while I'm folding my cover. He said I was trapping moisture against the paint, especially with the car still warm from driving, and he showed me how he vents his own storage with a cheap box fan on a timer. I never thought about airflow, just figured a cover was a cover, but now I check the humidity in my garage every month. Anyone else deal with condensation issues under covers in humid spots, or is he just old school?

Ever tried one of those moisture-absorbing buckets people put in boat cabins? I read somewhere that they pull a ton of water out of the air, might help more than a fan.
