Old timer told me to put mothballs in the trunk. Big mistake.

Guy at the car meet swore by mothballs for keeping mice out. Said he'd done it for 30 years. I put a box in my '67 Camaro's trunk last October. Opened it up in March and the smell was stuck in everything. Carpet, upholstery, even the headliner. Took three ozone treatments and a full detail to get rid of it. Anyone else get burned by a bad storage tip?

Honestly I used to think ozone was harmless but now I get why people warn about it.
