Hit 15 cars in storage and I'm questioning my life choices

So I counted last weekend and I've got exactly 15 classic cars stuffed into two separate storage units and my garage. I started with a '72 Mustang five years ago and now it's like a disease. My wife says I have a problem but I tell her it's an investment, not hoarding. Is there a magic number where storage costs outweigh the joy of owning these things, or am I the only one who hit a milestone and got cold feet?

15 cars is definitely a milestone, but have you actually added up the storage fees vs what you'd lose if you sold them now? It's wild how fast those monthly payments sneak up on you compared to just keeping them in your driveway.

You see this same math problem everywhere though, people keeping magazine subscriptions they never read or paying for gym memberships they never use just because cancelling feels worse than the slow bleed. It's like that monthly cost is invisible compared to a big one-time loss, even when the numbers add up to way more in the end. People will hold onto a loss just to avoid admitting they made a bad call, and that's exactly what storage fees are - a slow, quiet loss.
