Found out the hard way that concrete floors sweat in the summer
I parked my 72 Mustang in my brother's garage in Houston for three months last summer. When I came back the undercarriage had rust spots you could feel with your fingers. Turns out if the slab isn't sealed moisture wicks right through. A guy at the local NAPA told me to put a plastic sheet on the floor under the car and check it after a week. I had water droplets on top of the plastic. Crazy. Anyone else dealt with slab moisture issues?

Damn yeah that Houston humidity is no joke. Had the same thing happen with my F100 in an old barn. Best thing I did was get some heavy duty vapor barrier, like 6 mil poly sheeting, and lay it down before parking anything. Then I threw some cheap dehumidifier buckets around the space. Changed em every couple weeks and the moisture on the floor dropped way off. Also made sure to get the car up on jack stands if you can. Gives air flow underneath and keeps the metal off the wet concrete.
