Found mold in my '67 Mustang after 4 months of storage

Went to pull my Mustang out of the storage unit last Sunday to take it to a cars and coffee event. Opened the door and got hit with that damp musty smell. Found green mold spots on the passenger seat and a patch on the floor mat near the firewall. Turns out the weather stripping on the door was cracked letting moisture in during all those rainstorms we had in June. I spent the whole day wiping everything down with vinegar and water then setting up a dehumidifier inside the car. Threw in a pack of those DampRid buckets and ordered new weather stripping for $45. Anyone else dealt with mold creeping in during humid months?

Vinegar and water is the way to go, I used the same trick on my old truck after a wet season and it never came back. Getting that weather stripping sealed up is key, once you stop the moisture you're good.

Did you see that post from a guy who said he put a dehumidifier in his garage for a week and it pulled all the musty smell out? Sounds like overkill but I guess if the weather stripping isn't doing the trick it might be worth a shot before you go replacing door seals or something. Your vinegar method is way simpler though, I'll probably try that first since it's cheap.
