Can we talk about the guy who told me my garage floor was sweating on my Chevelle?
I had my '68 Chevelle sitting on a bare concrete slab in my garage in Fresno for about a year, and I kept finding rust spots on the frame that made no sense to me. A guy at a local car show peeked under it and asked if I had plastic sheeting down, then explained the slab pulls moisture up and traps it under the car. I pulled the plastic, put down 6 mil vapor barrier under a rubber mat instead, and ran a cheap box fan back there on humid days. Six months later the spots stopped coming back. Anyone else deal with a sweaty slab, and did you go with a barrier or a full sealer?
