Bubble wrap vs moving blankets for my '66 Mustang, 4 months in a barn near Waco
Tbh I went with cheap bubble wrap under a canvas tarp to save cash, but after the Texas humidity this summer I'm finding rust spots on the chrome where moisture got trapped. Has anyone else dealt with condensation damage using bubble wrap, or should I just bite the bullet and rent a climate controlled unit next time?

I always figured bubble wrap was fine as long as you kept it dry, but a buddy of mine in Houston learned the hard way too. Humidity gets under that plastic and just sits there, and the wrap traps it right against the chrome so it never dries out. Four months in a Waco barn is plenty of time for that to eat into the finish. I'd skip the bubble wrap completely next time and go with breathable covers or spring for the climate controlled unit if you're parking it that long.
