Battery drain mystery after sitting 9 months in a Tulsa garage
Pulled my 1972 Cutlass out after 9 months in storage and the battery was stone dead, but the real shock came when I checked the dash clock. That little clock and my trunk light together pulled 0.4 amps steady, which adds up to roughly 260 amp hours over that stretch. I had a trickle charger on it for the first month but unplugged it during a storm scare and never hooked it back up. Has anyone else traced phantom drain to something as basic as an old clock or courtesy light switch?
