I finally quit soda on the job, and my afternoon crashes are gone.
Most sweeps think caffeine is key, but water keeps me alert all day.

How bad were your headaches at first when you cut the caffeine? I switched from energy drinks to just water and black coffee on my routes, and man, the first week was rough. Once I got past that, my energy levels evened out so much. It’s not even about being awake, it’s about not feeling shaky and then totally drained. The water makes a bigger difference than I ever would have guessed.

But didn't cutting the energy drinks help more than just switching to water?

Cutting the energy drinks is a good start, but in my experience, the water switch is what really stops the crashes. It keeps your energy steady.
