I always thought a stiff wire brush was fine for a standard flue, but after trying a poly brush on a stubborn 8x13 clay liner in a 1920s house last Tuesday, the difference in how much less dust it kicked up (and how much cleaner it got the corners) was honestly shocking.

Has anyone else made the switch and found a particular brand or style of poly brush that holds up better over time?

My 15 year old wire brush finally gave out last month. I grabbed a Master Pro poly brush on a whim and, like fiona332 said, it was a total game changer. The bristles are stiff enough to really scrub but they don't seem to wear down like the metal ones did. It gets the job done in half the time with way less mess.

Tbh that "game changer" feeling is everywhere now, like every little upgrade is sold as life changing.
