That 3/4 inch difference between a 6 inch and a 7 inch brush can completely change how a chimney pulls. I remember my old neighbor tried using a brush that was too small on his oil burner flue and it just pushed the soot around without actually cleaning anything. It took him three extra passes and he still had buildup in the corners. The size of the brush really does make or break the job, especially with those narrow tile liners.
