Wasted $200 on a parking spot near Wrigley for Cubs games

Honestly, I used to pay for a monthly spot a few blocks from Wrigley Field, thinking it saved me time. After a season of sitting in traffic for 45 minutes just to get out, I added up the cash and realized I lost over $200 for basically nothing. I started taking the Brown Line to Addison instead, and it takes the same amount of time without the headache or cost. Anyone else ditch their parking pass for something simpler?

I read somewhere that the average Cubs fan spends like 8 hours a year just sitting in traffic around Wrigley, and that's before you even get to the game. That number stuck with me, because it basically proves your point. Taking the Brown Line from where I am adds maybe ten minutes total to the trip, and I can bring a tallboy on the train without worrying about parking or being sober. Plus, walking out of the park and straight to the station beats sitting in a metal box watching everyone else inch forward. People think driving is more convenient but they're just miscalculating the total hassle. You made a smart move.
