Warning: my radiator valve blew at 2am in my Edgewater apartment and I woke up to 60 degree rooms
Woke up around 2am to this loud hissing sound and thought someone was in the hallway, turns out the valve on my bedroom radiator cracked and steam was spraying everywhere. I threw a towel over it which did nothing, then ran down to the basement and could not find the shutoff for my unit for like 10 minutes while my floors got soaked. Finally called my landlord at 2:40am, he walked me through shutting the whole building's heat off, and now we have no heat at all until the plumber comes Tuesday. Anyone dealt with a radiator valve going bad in an old greystone? I want to know if I should push him to replace all of them or just the one that popped.
