Update: Paid for a parking spot near Wrigley and it saved my whole season
I used to circle the blocks around Addison for 45 minutes before every Cubs game, wasted gas, almost hit a dude on a Divvy bike twice. Finally broke down and paid $40 for a reserved spot in a lot on Sheffield last month. At first I felt like a sucker, but then I realized I was getting to the park 20 minutes earlier and leaving without the post-game gridlock panic. That $40 also covers my stress, my time, and honestly the risk of another door ding from some tourists in an SUV. I did the math and I was spending about $25 in gas and parking meters anyway, so the jump was smaller than I thought. Now I just Venmo the lot owner every game day and it's done. Has anyone else caved on paid parking or is there a secret free spot I'm missing?

Ha! $40 to avoid almost killing a Divvy rider is the best deal in Chicago.

Yeah that's wild honestly, glad they got charged instead of just a slap on the wrist. @hill.hugo you nailed it, $40 is basically nothing compared to someone's life, but at least it's something.
