Finally seen a drop in my electric bill after sealing those drafty windows
I caulked around the frames and used that shrink film kit last October, and my January bill was $40 less than last year. Has anyone else noticed a big difference from those little fixes?

Tbh, you might want to double check that shrink film kit did its job right. I did the same thing last fall and saw a $30 drop, but my neighbor down the street only got like $10 off because she missed a gap around the pipe under her sink. Those kits can be finicky if you don't seal every little crack. Also, make sure your window locks are actually tight - if they're loose, that film can still leak air around the edges. Just a heads up from someone who learned the hard way after a cold draft showed up right where I thought I was done.

Respectfully, my experience with those kits has been pretty solid even if I'm not super careful about every tiny gap. I've seen consistent savings year after year and my windows aren't exactly modern. Might just depend on the house or how bad your windows were to start with, your mileage may definitely vary there.
