Just lost a whole case of lemons to a bad cooler seal

It was a full 40-pound case, about $60 down the drain. The gasket on my lowboy looked fine, but it wasn't sealing right and I didn't catch the temp creep. Anyone have a good brand for replacement seals they trust?

Gaskets can look fine and still fail. You need to check the seal with the dollar bill test, not just a visual. A forty pound loss is rough, but that's on you for not monitoring temps. Any decent brand seal works if installed right and checked regularly.

What cooler model do you have? I've had good luck with OEM seals for my True units, but the real fix is that weekly dollar bill test to catch a slow leak early.

Gaskets can look fine" was my exact thinking until I lost a whole batch.
