That $5 rotisserie chicken at the grocery store in Merrillville seemed like a trap, but it fed me for three days
I always figured those cheap hot chickens were old birds they were trying to dump, so I walked right past them for years. Last Tuesday I caved because I was low on cash and just off a long haul, and that bird gave me two dinners and a sandwich batch for $5 flat. The meat was a little dry on the breast, but shredding it into tacos with a 99 cent can of beans fixed that right up. Now I'm wondering if the markdown meat case is the same deal, so has anyone tried the clearance beef and lived to tell about it?
