Taco truck vs diner lunch special, the truck won by $2.50

Had to decide between the taco truck on 5th and the diner's $9.99 lunch plate last Tuesday. The diner gives you a heap of food but it's mostly mashed potatoes and gravy. Taco truck charged $7.50 for three birria tacos with consume and they were actually filling, not just heavy. I've been back twice since, and the diner now feels like a rip-off. Anyone else find that food trucks are beating sit-down spots on price lately?
