My regular taco spot called me out for ordering wrong

I always got the combo plate at El Torito's in Austin for $8.50 but the cashier told me I could save $3 by ordering the street tacos al pastor instead. Now I do that every time and it's way more food. Anyone else have a restaurant worker tip you into a cheaper option?

Gotta disagree here. The cashier probably did you a favor on price but you lost out on the combo plate experience. Street tacos are great and all but the combo comes with rice beans and sometimes a drink or dessert. That $3 difference is worth it for the full meal deal if you ask me. Street tacos al pastor are just meat and tortillas, not a proper dinner.
