Just noticed a food truck near my work that's way too cheap
There's this taco truck parked outside a gas station on Main Street by my office in Phoenix that I kept ignoring cause it looked sketchy. Finally tried it Tuesday and got three carne asada tacos with rice and beans for $6.50 total. The meat was actually good, not dry or anything, and they piled on fresh salsa and onions. I'm wondering if they're cutting corners somewhere or just starting out and trying to build a name. Anyone else find a spot that seems too cheap to be real but turns out legit? How long do these prices usually last before they jack them up?

Found a Thai spot charging $7 for enough pad thai to last two meals, still going strong a year later.

man $7 for two meals? i guess if you live somewhere with super low COL it adds up but that's like... normal thai takeout around here. a year later too? i'd be curious if the portions stayed the same. usually those first few months are banging then they shrink everything or the quality dips. pad thai is good for leftovers but after a year that spot is probably using cheaper noodles or something. hope it keeps up for ya tho
