I finally hit $500 in takeout spending last month and it shocked me

I was just casually looking at my bank statements and realized I spent $512 on takeout and fast food in October alone. That's more than my electric bill and my phone bill combined. Has anyone else added up their monthly restaurant totals and gotten a number that made you rethink your budget?

Spent $600 on pizza last month and still tipped the delivery guy.

Man, $600 on pizza is wild. @faithg26, that's like a whole car payment just for pizza and breadsticks. I hope you at least got a free soda out of it or something. Tipping is still the right move though, delivery drivers need it.

Flip it around on you. Tipping the driver is great but you just paid $600 for someone to ring your doorbell. That driver got maybe $30 of that. The pizza place got the rest. You could've bought a used oven and made better pizza for 3 months with that cash.
