Costco rotisserie chicken is better than any $15 grocery store bird I've tried

I compared a $5 Costco chicken to a $14 one from Safeway last week and it's not even close. Costco's is bigger, juicier, and I can get 3 meals out of it easily. The Safeway one was dry and barely lasted 2 servings. Anyone else find this or am I just lucky with my local Costco?

Oh come on, it's just a chicken.

Whoa, I gotta push back on that, @danielwhite. It's not "just a chicken" when you've raised it from a chick and it's got its own little personality (they really do, trust me).

Funny you mention that @danielwhite because I feel like this whole mindset is part of a bigger thing I see everywhere. People act like if something isn't a dog or cat it doesn't count as having real feelings or a personality. I've seen the same thing said about goats, ducks, even fish. But once you spend time with any animal they show you they're more than just their species. It's like we draw this invisible line and decide what matters versus what doesn't. And usually that line is just based on what we're used to, not what's actually true.
