Showerthought: it took me 2 weekends to figure out my home charger kept tripping because of a dumb setting
Honestly I felt like an idiot. My level 2 charger kept cutting out around 9pm at my place in Austin and I blamed the wiring first, then the breaker, then the car itself. Turned out the charger was set to pull the full 40 amps but my panel could only take 32, so it kept tripping once the AC kicked on. Took two full weekends and one $120 electrician visit to find that one menu setting in the app. Anyone else get burned by the amp setting on a new install?
Did you also stand in front of the panel flipping breakers and mumbling to yourself like a confused caveman? Because that would've been me for sure. At least you found it before the electrician started charging you by the hour to scroll through an app menu.
