Rant: Blew $280 on a portable charger that barely works in winter

Bought a 60-amp portable Level 2 charger off Amazon last October and now that it's below 40°F it cuts out every 15 minutes, so has anyone found a cheap one that actually handles cold weather?

60 AMPS off Amazon for $280 and it can't handle a little cold?

You're missing the Point entirely. Cold weather can kill cheap electronics because they use inferior components that can't handle temperature swings. Spending $280 on a 60 amp unit from Amazon means you're buying whatever no-name factory cranked it out with the lowest bidder parts. A quality unit from a known brand costs double that for a reason - they actually test them in real world conditions. Cold makes the internal seals brittle and capacitors sluggish, so if it's not designed for that, it will fail. People think "big number = good" but ignore that build quality matters WAY more than raw specs.
