Overheard a guy at Electrify America say L3 charging all the time is fine for batteries
Dude was bragging he's never used a Level 2 charger in 2 years of owning his EV. I've read those battery health studies that show keeping it between 20-80% pays off long term, my 2019 Leaf still has 92% capacity because I baby it. Anyone else cringe when people treat fast charging like it's no big deal?

Totally with you on this one @danielwhite, I always tell people heat from fast charging is what really kills the battery over time.

Man, isn't that just asking for trouble down the road? I've seen way too many posts about people losing battery capacity fast from only using fast chargers. My buddy has a Bolt and he only does L3 charging, and after a year his range dropped like 15 miles... that's not nothing. I'm the same way with my Leaf, I keep it between 20 and 80 percent and only use fast chargers on road trips. It's just common sense to me, batteries are expensive and you want them to last. People don't realize heat is the enemy and fast charging makes everything hot. Guess some folks just don't care about long term costs.
