Laughed at my neighbor's 120V outlet charging setup, then I ate my words at 2am
My neighbor Dave in Boise plugs his Chevy Bolt into a plain wall outlet every night and I gave him grief about it for a year, calling it a trickle charge joke. Then my 240V garage unit died on a Friday and I borrowed his setup, waking up to 42 miles of range after 9 hours, which covered my whole commute. For anyone doing under 40 miles a day, the free outlet already sitting in your garage is honestly enough, no electrician needed. Anyone else running the slow plug life on purpose, or am I the only convert here?
