I finally picked the $89 level 2 charger over the $600 name brand one and I still can't decide if I'm smart or lucky

Six months ago I had to pick between a cheap no-name 32 amp box off the internet and a big brand unit with a warranty and an app and a guy who answers the phone. I went cheap. So far it has charged my car every single night in my garage in Boise without a single hiccup, and I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Side A says the cheap one is a fire waiting to happen and a real electrician would tell you not to trust a $89 brick with 240 volts. Side B says half the pricey units come out of the same factory in China and you're just paying for the sticker. I'm genuinely split. What made you pick one over the other, and would you do it again?
