I finally got my EV to charge on a 110 outlet in a South Bend hotel parking lot at 11pm
Drove up for a wedding last month and the hotel's level 2 charger was dead, so I was stuck at 18 percent with a 60 mile drive home the next morning. The front desk guy shrugged and pointed at a regular outdoor outlet by the dumpster. I dug my emergency 12 gauge cord out of the trunk, ran it under the fence, and babysat it for four hours on the app while my wife slept, watching it crawl to 71 percent. It worked, but I want to know if anyone runs a real extension cord for these or if I was just lucky the outlet didn't pop a breaker.
