Found a cheap trick to improve my home charging speed

I live in a condo and our parking garage only has standard 120V outlets. I was getting maybe 3 miles per hour of charge on my EV, which meant overnight charging barely got me 30 miles. Last week I started plugging in right at 9 PM when my neighbor told me everyone else's cars are done charging by then. Turns out the whole garage shares one circuit, so timing it right gives me a better draw. I'm now getting 5 miles per hour because there's no competition for power. Has anyone else dealt with shared circuits in apartment or condo charging situations?

Set a timer to plug in at midnight and got about the same improvement.

@hugow30 I mean, setting a timer for midnight sounds like a lot of effort for what? A few extra frames maybe? Unless you're trying to beat some high score or something, I don't see the point. Most people I know just plug in whenever they remember and get on with their lives. Honestly, I've tried timing stuff like this before and the difference was so tiny I couldn't even tell without a measuring tool. Seems like overkill for something that probably won't change how the game actually plays, you know?
