Chat with a trucker about range anxiety changed my whole take on battery size

I was talking to a long-haul trucker at a rest stop near Bakersfield and he said he'd rather have a 400-mile range diesel tank than a 600-mile battery because of how fast he can fill up. It hit me different because I've been obsessing over max range, but he's right that charging speed and availability matter more for road trips. Has anyone else had a conversation that flipped their priority from range to charging infrastructure?
