Vent: lost a meme contest in my Discord server by 2 votes and the winner was just a stock photo of a cat with Impact font
Back in March I spent like 4 hours on a custom meme of my cat Rufus wearing a tiny graduation cap I made in Paint. The server voted and I lost by 2 votes to a guy who literally googled 'grumpy cat' and slapped 'Monday' on it in 30 seconds. Do y'all have any tips for getting people to actually appreciate the effort or should I just start making bad ones on purpose?
4 hours on a tiny graduation cap for Rufus and you lost to a Google image? That hurts. The "Monday" grumpy cat one probably took longer to upload than to make.
Meme contests reward fast and easy every time, not the craft. Keep making the good ones for yourself, they're worth more than server votes.
