Tried to make a meme with motion text and it took me 3 hours to get it right

I wanted to add moving text to a cat video meme for a joke about my cat chasing a laser pointer. The text kept disappearing or lagging behind the action because I didn't know you had to keyframe each letter separately. Anyone else waste half a day on something this simple?

Did you try using CapCut's text tracking feature or were you doing it all manual? I've been burned by that lagging text thing too, it's brutal.
