My cat photobombed a serious meme and ruined the joke

I spent like an hour crafting this perfect meme about my cat knocking over a coffee mug, but right as I snapped the picture, my other cat jumped in and licked the spilled coffee. The final image looked more like a weird cat kiss than a clumsy disaster. I tried cropping it in GIMP but lost the whole layout. Has anyone else had a pet ruin a meme setup at the worst possible second?

Dude, that's rough. I had a similar thing happen where I was trying to get a shot of my dog looking all majestic at sunset. Right as I hit the shutter, he let out this huge sneeze that sent a booger rocket flying across the frame. The picture looked like some kinda weird alien thing was attacking him instead of being a proud nature shot. Couldn't fix it in any photo editor, just had to laugh and move on.
