Made cat memes for 8 months before I realized the font matters

I was using Comic Sans for every single one and wondering why people said they looked "off" until someone in this group pointed out it was the font. Now I use Impact and suddenly my cat looking confused at a cucumber actually gets laughs. Has anyone else missed something this basic for way too long?

@terryr46 has a point, I spent a solid 2 years using Arial for all my reaction images before I figured out font weight actually matters. People kept scrolling past my shocked Pikachu memes and I just thought the format was dead. Switched to Impact and suddenly people actually stopped to read them, felt like I'd been posting in invisible ink the whole time or something.

Bro, 8 months?! That's wild. Comic Sans for cat memes is like wearing a tuxedo to a pool party. I can't believe nobody stopped you sooner. Impact is literally the only font for meme text, it's like a law of the internet or something. You must've felt like a genius when you finally switched and saw the difference in reactions.
