Back when my cat Ollie was the king of meme material

I was digging through old photos on my laptop from 2018 and found a folder of about 50 shots of my cat Ollie making the same stupid face. That one week I caught him tangled in a measuring tape 3 times and posted each one to this forum. I think I got my highest rated meme out of that tape incident, but now he just sleeps in a box all day and refuses to cooperate for any photo.

Did I imagine my cat being internet famous or was I just that desperate for validation back then? My current cat won't even look at the camera and just judges me from his box throne. I guess we both peaked in 2018.

And that’s the thing about cats, they know exactly when you’re trying to get that perfect shot and just shut down. Ollie went from a clueless little gremlin to some wise old wizard who won’t even acknowledge my phone exists unless I’m trying to capture his third chin from a bad angle. I swear the measuring tape fame went to his head. Now he just stares at me like I owe him rent money whenever I pull out the camera.
