Warning: The tack strip gap in a French Quarter doorway cost me a whole afternoon 3 years back
That 1920s place on Dauphine had a 1 inch rise at the threshold and my strips kept popping on the cypress subfloor, so I switched to gluing them down with PL and that floor is still tight, what do you all do on old wood subfloors like that?
