Warning: my seam roller bearing seized up mid-job yesterday

I was in the middle of seaming a big bedroom in a house near Oak Park when the roller just locked up and started dragging. Found out the bearing was full of dust and glue that I missed cleaning out. Has anyone else had this happen or found a way to keep those little bearings from getting gummed up on long installs?

Man, that's a bummer - nothing worse than a tool locking up on you mid-job.

Have you tried giving the battery contacts a quick clean with rubbing alcohol, finley777? That fixed a similar issue for me, the corrosion can mess with the connection. Sometimes it just needs a good reset, take the battery off for a minute and let the tool fully power down.
