Update: Sore knees from carpet work are getting worse

After a full week of installs, my knees ache so bad I can hardly walk. I've started doing stretches in the morning, which seems to help some. What do you all do to cope with the joint pain from this job?

My ortho guy recommends compression sleeves, helps a lot.

Your ortho guy recommending compression sleeves is a perfect example. I see this everywhere now, people using gear to patch up problems. It's like we want a quick fix instead of doing the actual work to get better. Compression sleeves might help short term, but they don't solve why your joint hurts in the first place. We're becoming a society that leans on tools rather than building our own strength. It's a shortcut that often leads to more issues down the road.

Yeah, because building strength cures all arthritis.
