Tried a weird trick for a tight corner and it actually held up
I had this tricky inside corner on a job in a 100 year old house, and the tack strip was just too far away to get a good stretch. Everyone says you have to redo the strip, but I was in a real time crunch. I cut a small piece of a plastic bottle cap and wedged it behind the carpet right at the corner before kicking it in with my knee kicker. It gave it just enough bite to hold. That was three months back, and I drove by last week, still looks perfect. Has anyone else tried a weird little fix like that when the normal way just won't work?

Bottle cap trick is genius, might steal that one.

Just make sure you crimp the cap edges down tight, spencer664. A loose one will pop off and spray soda everywhere. It's a solid trick once you get the hang of it.
