The stretching technique I saw at that furniture store in Austin
Went to pick up a sofa my wife ordered and watched their floor crew lay a runner in the showroom. They didn't use a knee kicker, just one of those long metal bars and a lot of patience. I asked the guy about it and he said they only do it this way because the subfloor is concrete and the pad is thin. Tried it on a hallway job Tuesday and it hugged the tack strips way better than my usual method. Anyone else run into installers who skip the power stretcher on purpose?
