That high end home in Scottsdale with the tear out from hell
Forty hours over three days on a 6,000 square footer, half of it cutting out 20 year old glue down that had fused to the slab like concrete, and my helper quit by lunch on day one. The homeowner kept asking why it was taking so long while his dogs walked fresh mud across the tack strip I had just laid, but I pushed through and finished the seaming with three hours to spare. Anyone else ever get a job so miserable that the check still felt too small, or am I the only one who counts those as wins?
