Spent 3 hours trying to stretch a hump in a living room in Austin
I had this 12x15 room with a nasty hump right in the middle, figured a power stretcher would flatten it in 20 minutes. Ended up pulling the carpet three different ways, adjusting the kicker angle, and finally had to peel back and reseam a whole corner. Has anyone else fought a hump that just wouldn't budge no matter how you stretched it?

Honestly that "hump right in the middle" thing always reminds me of the time I was installing in this old house and found out the hump was actually from a forgotten heating duct they'd just carpeted over. Took me way too long to realize I was fighting a literal metal box under there.
