Rant: the tack strip chewed through my knee pad on a second floor job in Dayton
Honestly I was padding out a bedroom in Dayton last Tuesday and dropped to my knees right on a strip with two bent staples sticking up. Heard a rip and looked down, the foam was sliced clean through and my knee was already bleeding a little. Tbh I didn't have a spare pad in the van so I grabbed a scrap of 8lb pad, folded it twice, and duct taped it to my knee just to get through the last two rooms. Ngl it held up way better than I expected and I finished the whole upstairs without another issue. Anyone got a pad brand that actually survives tack strip, or am I just gonna keep taping foam to myself?
