My rush job blunder taught me a tough lesson

Lots of guys swear you can just glue seams down fast, but I tried that and the carpet bubbled up in days. I won't rush the process again, even if the client is pushing.

You say the carpet bubbled up from gluing seams fast, but maybe the glue was old or the floor was dirty. Sometimes clients push for a reason, and you gotta deliver fast to keep the job. What if waiting means losing the client altogether? I've seen quick glue jobs hold up fine when done with the right touch. Isn't it more about knowing your stuff than taking your time?

Oh sure, because the 'right touch' always beats proper drying time!

Spot on. I had a client breathing down my neck for a same-day install last week. Grabbed a fresh can of seam glue, swept the concrete till it was clean, and pressed every inch down hard. That floor is flat as a board two weeks later. Sometimes you just know the steps to cut without messing up. Rushing works when you've done it enough to feel the timing.
