I used to stretch every carpet by hand before I saw a guy in Charlotte use a power stretcher

That was 8 years ago and I haven't looked back since. My knees thank me and the seams stay tight. What's the one tool you guys saw that made you change your whole routine?

Better control" is the whole point of a power stretcher though.

My old boss swore by power stretchers too. I still do the main areas by hand for better control on tricky floors. Sometimes the slower way just gives a cleaner finish.

Yeah, "cleaner finish" is exactly why I'll always do the edges by hand too.
